   Love can be a hard thing to come by these days, and looking for your soul mate can be equally frustrating. But with Linda Miller’s services your dreams of finding love can become reality.
  
Ms. Miller, owner and CEO of Misty River Introductions, has been pairing couples across Ontario for the last eight years.
Thousands of clients over the years have sought out her help.

and his girlfriend, Julie, have been dating for about a year and a half now.
   “It is just easy to meet some­body. Everything is up front. There is nothing hidden,” remarked Glen.
   Time constrains with work and family is one main reason Ms. Miller believes people are turn­ing to her company.
 
“It is not because our cus­tomers can’t find dates, they can’t find anyone for a long-term relationship,” said Ms. Miller.

Dating services like Misty River Introductions are becom­ing more commonplace and an acceptable way to find that spe­cial someone, she added. Traditional ways such as trying to find someone at a single’s bar are falling by the wayside.

 Introductions assisted in their dreams of love were married.   
   “We never even dreamed it would be so successful,” said Ms. Miller. “I thought it would be a nice part-time job, but now we have eight employees. It has grown very fast.”
  Before she founded Misty River Introductions (the name of her company is derived from the view of the Mississippi River flowing by her home  in Carleton Place).  Ms. Miller considered herself a matchmaker. 

Before she even started the business, she matched up many of her friends from college, her own sister and friends of her mother.
    The service works like this - clients are interviewed by either Ms Miller or or a Misty River Introductions staff member about their likes and dislikes and preferences.
Women, who always do the calling, receive a list 
consisting of phone numbers of seven men fitting with their interests and tastes. Potential couples start out with their relationship with telephone conversations which may possibly lead to a date. 

 If the match is not successful, the woman can continue with her list.
   Despite the fact the first encounter is by a telephone call and not face to face, good impressions are still crucial.
    “It is still personality driven,” said Ms. Miller. “You still have to make a good impression.     There has to be a spark.”
  
  For 35-year-old Glen meeting a woman through Ms. Miller’s introduction company was easy, especially since he doesn’t have a lot of extra time because of his career. He
